Winfrey's Person Centered Therapy (PCT) is a form of talk psychotherapy. This healing is to provide clients to develop a feeling of feelings, to bring out thoughts, and a mirrored image of habit also known as Client-Centered. Throughout this type of therapy the specialist provides the customer with a secure, non- judgmental approach. PCT helps the clients to find their own solutions to their challenges. The foundation on this therapy originated from Carl Rogers in 1930, in which remains to be very popular and effective today. A client- therapist romance needs to be proven to have a higher outcome.



Rogers an American psychologist introduced Client-Centered Therapy. This approach developed because he believed that therapist and clients needs to have a close relationship. In previously research other psychologist including Freud theory was aimed at sexual tendencies forces the human behavior. Rogers viewed human behavior being a focus is usually motivated by the person and the drive to reach its total potential. In respect to Rogers he used " Person-Centered Approach and " way of being” commenced focus on personal growth and self-actualization (Rogers 1951). There are many therapist and a lot of methods employed today, as being a therapist you must find which in turn theory you are confident with and learn the teaching to effective for the clients. Several therapists believe Person-Centered Therapy is not successful with nonverbal or poorly uneducated people; others keep that it can be successfully tailored to any form of person. The Person-Centered Procedure can be used in individual, group, or relatives therapy (Kensit 2000). Rogers focused more on the client and their demands. To do so the therapist will have to have justesse, unconditioned positive regard and empathy.
